Doug Lee - Community and Outreach Pastor

Doug graduated from UC San Diego with a BA in Religious Studies and went on to Talbot School of Theology where he received his M.Div in Pastoral Care and Counseling.  He came to Christ as a senior in high school, responded to the call to ministry as a senior in college, and has been journeying with God, his wife Angelina, and his two beautiful daughters, Alexandra and Joanna ever since.  Doug and Angelina have served together for the last 25 years in youth ministry, church planting, evangelism and outreach, local and international missions.  He is a raging extrovert (ENFP) and 7 on the Enneagram so he's all about having fun with different kinds of people.  In addition to his pastoral ministry at Life, Doug is serving as a hospital and hospice Chaplain at Torrance Memorial Medical Center.  In his free time he enjoys crossfit, golf, skiing, traveling, cooking, movies, hanging out with my girls, listening to podcasts, and reading anything written by CS Lewis, NT Wright, or Eugene Peterson.

Cameron Coulter - Children's and Youth Pastor

Cameron Coulter (M.A. Pastoral Studies, Azusa Seminary) has been the Children & Youth Pastor at Life since 2016. He was born and raised in the South Bay area of Los Angeles, & grew up going to church & studying God’s word. In high school he felt God’s calling to be a youth pastor & has worked hard to follow that calling. Prior to serving at Life he’s served in youth ministries in the South Bay & Palm Desert since 2003. In May 2022, Cameron & his wife Kaitlin welcomed the birth of their first child, Andrew. Cameron enjoys spending time with his family doing things like playing games, watching cheesy action movies, traveling & going on adventures.

Lidia Emerson - KidLife Coordinator

Lidia graduated from Rowan University in New Jersey, where her dad was serving as a pastor for over 12 years. While working on her BA, she served in the children's ministry and taught pre-school at a local day care. After graduating, she moved to Los Angeles, where she was originally from, and married her high school sweetheart, Carleton (where they met in childcare class). Together they have three children, Isaiah, 19, Elias, 14, and Kailah, 5. Although free time for Lidia isn't "free", she enjoys interior decorating, trying new recipes, working out, being outside, having late night date nights with her husband at Denny's, and eating. But what keeps her the most busy and loves is watching and supporting her kids in their activities. Lidia is currently working at Towers Elementary in Torrance with the TK students.

Mark Mekailian - Worship Director

Mark is an LA-based record producer, songsmith, and artist hailing from all across the world. After having grown up between Bavaria, California, and Dubai, he attended USC Thornton’s commercial music program where he channeled his worldly sense of melody and rhythm through a pop lens. While in college Mark made a commitment to Jesus Christ, and to his to-be wife, Silvia. He has been actively discipling by leading musical worship and sharing communion with his community. These days Mark spends most of his time making music, and running his live-music and recorded-music businesses. Mark loves meeting new people, so feel free to start a conversation. Mark has a sense of humor, but he does not bite.

Our Vision Team

We want to be a church that empowers people to serve in their giftedness. A crucial part of doing this well is empowering leaders to lead, and doing our best to help them succeed as they do so.

One of the key roles of Vision Teamers is the support and resourcing of our Frontlines Team. The support person’s objective is to help their assigned ministry team leader(s) do their job well, live out Life’s vision and values, and remain spiritually vibrant and healthy.
